Photo Friday: Rome's Churches with a Toddler

On my prior trips to Rome, the huge churches made me feel very small, but there's nothing like revisiting a place with a one-year-old to totally change your perspective. At each new church, E looked up at the beautiful ceilings and the splendor of the golden alters for only a few moments before he focused in on the marble floors. We spent our visits exploring the different textures, following the lines and patterns in the marble, and occasionally finding our way to a bench that enabled him to cruise along independently.

I particularly like the idea that the wonderful patterned marble floors come to the fore. Makes sense when you're only a foot high.

oops, forgot to leave my location! Newbie and all :-)

My picture is from our recent trip to Talkeetna, Alaska. In addition to spotting Denali, we also saw many cute decorated moose throughout the town, remnants of Moose Days. This one was too cute to pass up!

    Cheers,

Well, I finally made it Debbie! ;) We are in Sweden with friends now, so the good internet connect on the move helps ( which is not always the case on our open ended world tour). I will try to join in as I can.

I have listed and linked everyone else here on my post as well! I really loved posting with just one photo and wonder if I should cut back to save time. I usually put up 12 with every post.

Oops, I forgot to say where....must have been that bouncing around kidlet that distracted me. Grin.

Galicia, Spain was the location...wonderful place in late June of this year. Heavenly!

Thanks for coming up with this great idea!!

Thanks for sharing your visit from E's perspective!

I'm on the road, and the WiFi is doing hinky things when I tried to get my photo uploaded...so looks like I'll just enjoy everyone else's photos here for a couple of weeks. Fortunately, I scheduled my regular posts before I left home!
Hopefully, I'll have tons of new photos when I get back :)

Thanks so much to everyone who joined in & who left comments. When I added the "Mr Linky" to my Photo posts, I had no idea how much I would end up looking forward to seeing everyone's pictures on Friday. It's such a nice way to kick off the weekend.
