Known as one of the best Aquariums in the world, we're especially impressed by the huge shark tank. There is also an underwater tunnel 80 metres (262 feet) long and an immense Oceanarium. Many of the tanks in the Aquarium extend all the way to the floor, making the aquarium very stroller friendly.
There's a great kids play area that's geared towards younger kids (1-4yr) next to the cafeteria making this an especially good rainy day destination. Older kids may enjoy a behind the scenes technical tour of the Aquarium (ages 6 and up, Spanish & Catalan) or spending the night surrounded by the shark tank (ages 8 to 12). Either activity may be arranged on the Aquarium website.
Arrive early to avoid lines. The ticket office opens one hour before the museum, or better yet buy aquarium tickets online

This looks awesome! Thanks for suggesting it. How long do you think it takes to explore the entire aquarium?

It took us a couple of hours to explore the Aquarium, though I imagine that some families would be much faster (our kids loved the huge tanks) and others might be slower (the kids were worn out by the time we got upstairs, and we rushed through or skipped most of those exhibits)
