Sea Life's small size makes it an easy place to visit with small children who cannot walk long distances. Tanks are lowered, making them easy for young children to see into. A small cafe offers hamburgers, hot dogs and other kid-friendly food, but you might prefer to pack a picnic and visit one of the nearby beaches.

Plan your visit around showtimes or scheduled activities as there's not much to do in between shows. The park is undergoing renovation, so you may want to call to find out which sections are open.

With an advance reservation, children can swim with or touch the dolphins, and this can be a very special experience for a young child. If you are considering this type of experience, you should be aware that your child will need to be able to hold still, without splashing, in the water for about 30 minutes. You might also want to review the Humane Society's concerns about dolphin swim programs. I did contact Sea Life with these questions, and they did not respond.
