Located on the riverfront and next to the riverfront shops and park, this is a fantastic destination for families traveling with children and even family pets! The Marriott is located downtown with a Trimet station (free!) just outside the door. The Trimet alone is a fantastic activity with a small (or even not so small) child. The hotel rooms are clean, feature a kitchen and sitting area. There's a huge breakfast buffet in the morning (included) featuring scrambled eggs, cereals, bagels, pastries, yogurt, sausages and, wait for it, MAKE YOUR OWN WAFFLES. No 3 yr old worth his or her preschoolerness can resist! Complimentary newspapers as well.

We stayed in this hotel on our recent trip and it was awesome. We had a 2 bedroom suite for not much more money than the other hotel room we looked at. The location is great.
