This is a great place for adults who love history (um, I'm talking about my in-laws) and families with small children (that's us). There are plenty of building for children to explore and the grounds are beautiful. The tour of the main house can be a bit long. We took turns and the one who was not in line played in the huge front yard of the big house which overlooks the Potomac River. Great photo ops! We pack snacks and have lunch on the lawn. more
