My tip is to bring your sling or baby carrier because strollers are not allowed. They have parking areas for strollers and I was really wishing I had my sling for my tired and restless 14 month old while we stood in line waiting to go up.

I'm not sure when you last visited, but the food, now, is exceptional. I would take my kids for brunch and save dinner for an adult event, if I had a choice. Be sure to bring pencils and sticky notes or scrap paper. Kids love to place notes by the windows and wait to rotate back around to them (about 45 minutes later) and find responses from other diners.
The highlight on the menu for most kids will be the lunar orbiter. It's an ice cream sundae that comes out "smoking" thanks to a special serving dish and dry ice. Parents will want an extra spoon to try the locally-made ice cream and sauces.
Finally, don't think that you must have a perfectly clear day in order to get an amazing view. There's always an interesting and beautiful view, rain or shine.
