Sequoia is not usually what you'd think of as a kid place, but we like it as an adult restaurant suitable to take children. It offers a few child friendly features : Parking lot in the building, big windows, and water outside, and lots of airplanes flying by on their way to/from National Airport and it's pretty loud already, so a kid won't really disturb anyone. The food is good (not great, but solidly good) and the view is terrific. You can walk along the river before and/or after eating. A few river boat tours dock there too in the event you want to go for a ride.
