A trip to the Butchart Gardens is classic part of any Victoria trip. In summertime, the garden is a riot of colors, and though your kids might not appreciate the blooms, I'm betting that they'll love the opportunity to stretch their legs. Butchart Gardens is 14 miles north of vancouver. Allow 30 minutes to drive. The most economical way to get here is to take a public express bus (bus 75) from downtown Victoria, which takes approximately 45 minutes.
