Bonpoint is expensive no matter how you slice it, but at this clearance store I got a very nice winter coat for about $50 and some adorable shirts for about $20. There is also a small selection of woman's clothing and a nice selection of layette items. more

Galleries Lafayette has the best one stop shopping for kid stuff. Their fantastic clothing department stocks all the major brands, but it doesn't stop there. They also have an excellent toy store and children's craft department. Best of all, you should be able to get a 10% off coupon from your hotel or at the store's information desk. more

If you want to upscale one-stop children's shopping, the Bon Marche is a great place to go. The carefully selected children's section has some adorable (if expensive) lines. The real gem, though, is the huge toy department with full lines of popular French brands like Vilac, Moulin Roty, Djeco, Petit Collin and more at competitive prices. We also love the children's book section where searching for wordless books to bring home has become a passion of mine, and the great kids craft area. more

Le Château de Ma Mère (Vintage Children's Clothing)

A children's vintage-clothing shop focused on ages 0-6. I cannot think of anything sweeter. Expect to find hand-knit sweaters, classic Baby Dior and more. Prices are not cheap, but you're likely to find something priceless more

We call this neighborhood department store "French Target" because it has a little bit of everything, including Petit Bateau onesies and sleepers at reasonable prices, cute and well made store label baby and children's clothing, diapers, wipes, baby food and even groceries. This is a great place to stock up, and best of all most locations are open late. more

Petit Bateau is CHEAP in France. The little T-shirts that cost so much here are about $10 each. The PJs are still expensive (about $25), but we love them (they open in the back which makes them easy to put on & easy to check and change the diaper). Note that Petit Bateau runs small and buy a size (or two) bigger than you would usually. more
