The location of this hotel was great! We were right across the street from a local grocery store, a boulangerie, a toy shop and a laudromat. There was also a small park about two small blocks away. We asked for a room with a large bed and we were pleasantly surprised with the size of both the room and the bed. Even the bathroom was spacious. The hotel does have a tiny elevator though. Only my husband, myself and our 14 month old could fit. We'd leave the stroller downstairs in their storage area. The walk back from the Louvre took about 30 minutes and there is a metro stop within a block. Notre Dame is a 5 minute walk. Great location and friendly English speaking staff that were always helpful.

Bonjour! I've just booked a room at the Hotel Abbatial Saint Germain...based on this readers recommendation (and a few other reviewers too). My husband, 10-month old daughter and I are spending the majority of our time in France in Montpellier - but the last 2 nights will be spent here. Just wanted to say thank you for providing these resources to us busy mums - we leave tomorrow!
