Rubbiara's aged balsamic vinegar routinely wins awards for best taste and quality in the annual competitions at Modena, but that's not the only reason to stop here. This bustling restaurant serves what some consider to be the best pasta in the world. We don't claim to be experts, but everything we ate on our visit was delicious. The restaurant is busy and noisy enough that kids won't be an issue. more

Tucked down a side street in Parma's city center, this restaurant has some of the best food in the region. The restaurant is large, but service is friendly and the space is very welcoming. We especially loved the meat dishes and pastas, but fresh salads were also good. In season, this would be a great place to enjoy a truffle dish. more
