Batlló House (Gaudi), Barcelona

Address Passeig de Gracia, 43, Barcelona, Spain Map, Tel (34) 93 216 03 06 Call, Hours 9am-8pm Daily, Cost 16.50 Euros, includes AudioGuide

This beautiful home, designed by Gaudi for the wealthy Batllo family, has an interesting enough design to engage most kids. Our kids love the sea-like effect of the blue tiles and stained glass.

Visitors are expected to climb the stairs, but the families with strollers or wheelchairs can use the small elevator (check before waiting in line to make sure it is working and available).

The top floor has a beautiful terrace and would be a great place for kids to get some fresh air while their parents take turns visiting the house more slowly

We stayed 5 days in Barcelona and we really enjoyed this wonderful city. Sagrada Familia - the creation of Gaudi and Parc of Guell were unforgettable. We rent an agreable apartment from Aparteasy apartments. If you need some accommodation in Barcelona I would suggest them (http://www.aparteasy.com/). They have wide offer of apartments kids friendly.

One of my favorite days in Barcelona was when my 7-year-old suggested we spend her "mommy and daughter" day at "that apartment building you really wanted to see, Mom." She loved her own kid's headset for the tour, walking in the attic that seemed like we were inside a whale, and checking out the "Star Trek" soldiers on the roof.
