I stayed in these brand new self catering flats close to Barcelona Sants Train Station and just 10 minutes on foot From Montjuic mountain (where Olympic games were held in 1992). All apartments have got WiFi internet connection and TV Lcd (one in the living room, the other one in the room). I would definitely reccomend this tourist facility especially for family (But do not expect to stay close to the noise Rambla), because flats can host up to 6 people, they have got a private parking and in addition to this it's located close to the Font Magica and Poble Espanyol to places to be seen by kids.
