Hi! What a great website! I have a 3 1/2 yr old and a 4month old girl.... We are planning a family trip to Sevilla in May for 5 days. I have booked Apt. Murillo.. but was contemplating between the apt and a hotel.. did u stay at the apts? Also, when you went to the giralda and other landmarks, would a twin stroller be ok to take? Where did u find a babysitter? I have lived in Sevilla during a semester in college.. but that ws like 10 yrs ago.. now with kids, it take more planning.. but I can;t wait :)

We stayed in the apartments. They were clean and reasonably spacious. I think a double stroller is tricky in spain. Sidewalks and roads can be uneven, and walkways are often narrow. In older buildings there can be lots of stairs. I usually prefer to bring a single stroller + a sling.

With respect to the sitter, I'm not aware of a service in this area. You could consider asking the owners of the apartment, or if you have friends in Spain, try your facebook network.

I totally agree with Debbie's comment. We had a single stoller with a rolling stand in the back. It was very diffcult maneuvering through the streets with that. I can't imagine trying to do that with a double stroller. Honestly, one kid has to be on your back and one needs to be in the stroller. If you have three kids in need of carried transport, then Sevilla is not the place for you.

Apartamentos Murillo were booked up when we went the last week of February, but we stayed at the Hoteles Murillo and were pleased. The location is very central and was in walking distance of everything we wanted to do and see- the Parque de Maria Luisa, Cathedral, the Museo del baile Flamenco, etc. My only complaint is that the Barrio de Santa Cruz, in general, is very noisy. I would imagine it would be hard to find any hotel there that is sound-proof. Luckily, my daughter was so worn out from our daily adventures that she slept quite soundly, but I wanted to note this in case any one has children who are sensitive to sleeping surrounded by loud noises.
