The Kulturhuset, The Culture House, in the heart of Stockholm, Sweden is a magnet for all types of art and culture. Every single day of the year there are great activities and exhibits here. The Kulturhuset has cafés and restaurants, libraries, live music and performance, and best of all, the Rum för Barn, or Kidzone.
On the 4th floor of the building, Rum för Barn has three big rooms for children from 0 to 11 years old. And it's free. There are great books, various activities, with large bathroom and eating facilities to warm up food and change diapers.
I am on paterntiy leave right now, and I go there at least once a week. I'll go into the city to hook up with a friend, and then drop by there to take my 8-month-old to the yellow room. He crawls around on the comfortable surface, hangs out with other kids. It's great.
Due to the central location, it's a great place to take your children to when you are visiting the city.
