This beautiful resort welcomes kids with a toy from the "toy wagon" and a gift in the room. The pool area, while not huge, was very pleasant with a wading pool, swimming pool, hot tub, a splash fountain, and poolside dining. Rooms included all the creature comforts you would expect at a Four Seasons property and can be babyproofed by hotel staff prior to your arrival (a child sized robe and slippers will also be placed in your room). What I found most helpful, though, were the small touches - a swim diaper in the room, step stools in the public restrooms, a valet staff that was able to recommend playgrounds and kid-friendly restaurants, and a great kids menu at both the restaurant and room service.
From the resort it is about 5 minutes drive to the nearest beach, 10 minutes drive to LegoLand, and 30 minutes drive to SeaWorld and 45 minutes to the San Diego Zoo
