In the mid-eighteen hundreds, a town's mill, where farmers gathered to have their corn and wheat ground into flower, would have been one of the centers of farming life. This park is the site of a water-powered grist mill that was built in 1846 and remained in use until the early 1900s.
The mill and its 36-foot water wheel are protected as a state historic landmark and have been partially restored. Picnic facilities are available at nearby Bothe-Napa Valley State Park (connected by a one mile long trail)
Historic tours and demonstrations are available on weekends.
