The USS Hornet is an authentic WWII air craft carrier that is as a big as three football stadiums. The best way to view the Hornet is to take a docent-led tour, and learn the history and uses of the many rooms and features of the ship. Walk through the actual torpedo shop, sick bay, mess hall, berthing rooms, hangar decks and more as you step back in time in this enormous carrier. There is also a simulator ride of a seek-and-destroy mission for an additional fee. Be sure to arrive early and allow 3-4 hours to see everything. Bring a lunch to enjoy during your visit, as there are no restaurants onboard.
