Union Square Park, located in the heart of San Francisco's shopping district. The square often features live music and other fun events during the summer, and there is also a cafe and free wi-fi. A half-price tickets booth is located at the edge of the park.

While I wouldn't make a trip across town to visit Union Square, the park is a great place to let the kids get a little exercise or to have a picnic lunch in between activities. It is also a great place for the kids to hang out with mom or dad while one parent does some shopping.
