The hike down to beach is very easy and beautiful. The beach is rocky, bring your water shoes. Bring snorkle gear, it is one of the best snorkeling sites in Maui. We saw a ton of marine life. Our 5 and 9 year old snorkeled with me, they did great. Bay is very calm. Our 4 year old was "afraid of the fishies!", so he stayed on the shore and played with rocks. Snorkeling on the right is better than the left. We went in the summer, bay was calm. Gets rougher in the winter.
