Though we haven't stayed here, the Hilton Hawaiian Village has a great reputation with visiting families. There's a large beach (it's public access and many families come here for the day even if they're not staying at the resort), loads of resident wildlife, and a family pool with a waterslide, waterfalls and more. Kids age 5-12 can participate in a half-day or full-day camp like program while their parents explore Oahu (extra charge, sign up in advance)
