This place is a great family destination for Island Park vacations. It's so close to Yellowstone National Park and while on our first Summer visit we didn't even go in the park. Island Park is a caldera itself and we had a great time biking to the area attractions such as Big Springs. The kids were thrilled to see a deer up close as it crossed our path. I was impressed with all the trails. Sawtelle is a great place to stay! The cabins are fabulous and I enjoyed the mix of RVers, campers and the creature comforts of the nearby restaurants and especially the pool/hot tub and park area right on Sawtelle's grounds. Island Park is a great secret for area visitors without being a tourist trap like West Yellowstone. I recommend Sawtelle in Island Park for your West Yellowstone vacation get away!
