Brookfield Zoo is a great place to visit with kids! It is located in a suburb of Chicago, and the zoo is spread out over several acres. Not only do they have your typical zoo animals, but there is also a petting zoo, which my son loved. Currently, they have a dinosaurs alive exhibit that is great for dinosaur fans. The prices of food and admission are all reasonable, plus you are able to bring in coolers so you can save money on food.
