This is a wonderful children's museum with a wide variety of exhibits including a space ship, fire truck, lobster boat, ranger station, a "toddler park" for the very little ones, a touch tank, and a kid-sized rock wall which is sponsored by L.L. Bean. They also have on-going programs and frequent children's performances in the theater. The museum is located in downtown Portland, in the arts district, and within walking distance to the Old Port where many kid-friendly dining options and more activities can be found.
