The apple tree is slightly more elegant than most places you would normally dine with a child. Still, if you are looking for creative, modern, New Mexican cuisine, the shady patio (complete with fountain) provides a nice atmosphere for a child and the staff is very flexible about accommodating picky eaters. more

This very casual roadside restaurant is packed with customers lining up to order authentic Mexican food. The food is good, if basic, service is speedy and the prices are inexpensive. The bustling environment provides the perfect mask for the sounds of an overtired child, but when they see the dessert case, we bet you won't have a difficult time motivating them to eat a good dinner. more

This popular local New Mexican restaurant served some of the best food we had in Taos. This is a great place to try classic dishes like blue corn enchiladas or Carne Avodava (pork marinaded in red chile). There is a nice children's menu too, and high chairs are available. Dine in the shady outdoor patio, and you won't worry about a little noise or dropped food. Expect to wait for a table during the dinner rush. more
