The Monte Sagrado isn't just the best hotel in town, it's one of the most beautiful resorts we've ever stayed in. Our kids loved the the extensive gardens, complete with a waterfall, rivers and fish. On cold days, the covered pool and greenhouse make a welcome retreat as does the game room (complete with antique pool table). Our room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. A massive tub kept our kids entertained at bathtime. First floor rooms have a small patio and connect with the grounds.
The only drawback for traveling families is that the restaurants are upscale and might be difficult for all but the best behaved kids (a large fish tank helps)... The food is quite good though, so if you absolutely need a meal at the hotel, plan to order room service.
