They have an endless menu and it's always a little loud in there so it would be good with kids. The food comes really quickly (the fastest I've ever experienced in any restaurant) which really helps when you are eating with kids and their short attention spans. The prices are also great, especially in New York and the place is open 24 hours with breakfast all day and night long.
