If you are in the Times Square area, finding a non-chain restaurant that offers food worth eating can be tricky. From the outside Virgils looks like another tourist-packed, crowded choice. The difference is that the food here is both exceptional and kid friendly. You'll find ribs, fried chicken, catfish and other favorites. The prices aren't cheap, but portions are large enough that a parent and child would be able to share. Mac and Cheese, Hamburgers and "Flat Dogs" are available on the kids menu for picky eaters.
