This modern hotel is at the edge of downtown, just adjacent to the Pearl district. That location also places it close to Powells books, and Whole Foods. Rooms are decorated using military surplus and have fun touches like record players. We found the hotel very comfortable, and were able to get a large king room with a huge L-shaped sofa.
There is also an excellent coffeeshop in the lobby run by Stumptown, the local coffee roasters. Room service addicts beware, this is a budget hotel and does not have room service or minibars in the rooms.
