The science museum includes a planetarium, omnimax, a submarine tour, laser shows, and lots of hands-on exhibits. Even early walkers can enjoy the main museum (with some help from mom and dad), and older kids will get a lot out of the hands-on-exhibits and the opportunity to do experiments in a real chemistry lab.

The science playground (ages 6 and younger) is a well designed space geared specifically towards younger kids. There is a sand box, a waterplay area (bring extra clothes), an area for art projects, and even some mini-science experiments that kids can try independently. The space is well designed, with a separate area for snacks, a nursing room (complete with toys to keep an older child busy) and family restrooms. Even if science isn't your cup-of-tea, it is a fantastic place for young kids to play on a rainy day.

Keep in mind that the museum can get very crowded on weekends, especially in the afternoon

The museum restaurant serves healthy fresh food like sandwiches, yogurt, pasta, smoothies and fruit
