This is a huge indoor model railroad and town set up in, essentially, a big warehouse. The awesome part for kids is the dozens and dozens of buttons you can push to make things happen. My son loves trains, but his sisters are sick of them, but they still love Roadside America because of this.
Every half hour they dim the lights and do a very patriotic themed night show with fireworks, and all the village lights come on.
There's a train-themed gift shop and decent bathrooms, and the whole thing is right off I-78. Don't miss it if you are passing through. There's fast food nearby, if needed.
