House Pasture Cattle Company is way out in the Texas Hill Country - about 90 miles west of San Antonio. When you get there you smell fresh air, hear the birds singing, and see the night sky lite up with stars. The food is basic burgers, fish, steaks, and great sides. They have a wonderful outdoor play area for toddlers to pre-teens. Mom and dad can see watch and listen to an evening full of live music and the kiddos can play their little hearts out on the playground or on the huge grassy lawn that surrounds the place (as big as a half of a football field.) It's just a place for good family fun. We escape to the Frio River in the Texas Hill Country ... ConCan, whenever we can.
NOTE: In the spring, summer and fall they have special events, i.e. 5K run/walks, craft shows, BBQ cookoffs, parades, river floating fun. The place is only about 200 yards from the river. (And the golf course is almost on site and rental properties including homes with pools are within walking distance.)
