They have chickens, peacocks and swimming. There is only one room for use, however it can fit a family with children. It has has a small kitchenette. The owners are wonderful and offer gluten free foods. It is gorgeous and just a safe, beautiful retreat. more

We stayed at this hotel as a result of a name your own price website. It is a rather nice property but far from the main part of the riverwalk. Our price was reasonable because of the purchase method but otherwise I would not have chosen to stay here. As far as child friendly ammenities go, the pool is satisfactory but there are no extras like mini fridge or free wi-fi or continental breakfast. All those things make a world of difference to a mom traveler. There is a $4/day parking lot 2 blocks away, so save the $ on the parking garage. We could see our car from our room window! more

Drury Inn has 2 properties near the Riverwalk. We know because we tried checking in at the wrong one - Drury Plaza (which seemed like it happened often as they had a printed copy of directions to the other hotel). This hotel was a dream for families with small kids. Our suite was 2 rooms, we could put the kids to bed early and hang out for grown up time in the living room. Great free breakfast, we enjoyed the belgian wafflemaker daily, and evening snacks, popcorn, hot dog, chicken strips, etc. Really, what kid would be unhappy here. Also, free internet was a plus. This was a stay I won but I'd happily spend my own money at this hotel. more

The breakfast is spectacular! If you have a picky eater, they'll still find something. (Waffles, eggs, fruit.) There is popcorn and soda available in the evenings. You can also bring a family pet if you can't bear to leave them behind. more

This historic hotel is right by the Alamo and Rivercenter Mall. The hotel has been restored to its 1859 glory with amazing decor and historic charm (but still has plenty of modern comforts!). There is even reports that the hotel used to be haunted! more

The Hyatt Regency thinks of everything. From the moment you arrive your children big and small will receive age appropriate gift bags. For our baby, she received bandaids, rubber ducky and a night light. My toddler received a cute fisherman hat, postcards to color and send to friends and each got a cute stuffed chipmunk. more

This is a great place for families. The pool has a sloped entrance which is great for toddlers. The lazy river has double occupancy innertubes (one side has a bottom) also great for little ones. There is a playground on site and a "children's club". It was not officially open but they let us use it as there was a day of terrible rain that kept us from going to Sea World. It is very near Sea World too. The grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed the smores they did in the evenings. We'll be back! more

The outdoor pool is heated. The rooms are nice and new- the suites are great for traveling with small kids who go to bed early. The staff is SUPER friendly! The breakfast is great and it's very close to SeaWorld. more

The free breakfast is great for the kids and they even had Texas shaped waffles that you can make and their pool is awesome. There is a place near by to play putt putt and race go carts as well. It is convenient to the airport and only about 10 min from the Riverwalk. There is a Wal-mart nearby in case of forgotten items more

The staff at La Mansion on the San Antonio Riverwalk are truly amazing, caring, helpful, & considerate of all our needs. Our 3yr old needed room to play but we needed to be in an adjoining room w/ my parents (the grandparents!) The staff changed our rooms when we got to the hotel to check-in, & they saw how old our little guy was. They asked us to give them 5 minutes & they moved a "roll-away" from the original room to the new room - on a corner with a balcony, that wrapped around & connected w/ the balcony of my parents' room making a 35' by 3' wide play area overlooking the bridge/riverwalk. They also provided an "Omni Kids Pack" backpack w/ little treats to help keep our little one entertained in the room & new things to take w/ us as we explored. When we came back to our room there were warm cookies & cold milk waiting each night of our stay! What a special stay we had as a family - fun out & about and in our hotel! more
