Quaint walking area. Great shops and ice cream parlors. There is a free trolley that circles to and from the King Street Metro station.
Founder's Park is also a great place for little ones to run and play.
Several family friendly restaurants (see my other recomndations)- our favorite is the Union Street Pub. Bonus is that after lunch on a weekend, you can stroll to the dock (at the end of King Street) and there is usually a balloon artist, musician or other street performer set up. If you are really lucky the guy who sets up the glasses of water and uses them to play music will be there!
