Located a block from the Potomac River in Old Town Alexandria, this is one of our "go-to" places. It is a great neighborhood find and pleasing to nearly everyone, including my never satisfied father-in-law. He likes the fish and chips, my husband likes the beer selection, I love the steak sandwich and the Blondie dessert. My son likes to look at the boats and flags on the wall and if we sit on the first floor near the window he can see the planes approaching National Airport. The kids menu is good considering it's a kids menu - in addition to mac and cheese and such, they have grilled salmon on the kids menu. Sunday brunch is yummy, too. They serve a great Virginia Casserole, you won't be disappointed.
Service can be slow at times but the staff is always very accommodating. I was on a strict elimination diet while breastfeeding and the server and kitchen staff went out of their way to be sure to get my order right.
