A stay at the newly renovated Hotel Murano is a nice compliment to a visit to Tacoma's Museum of Glass. The spacious hotel lobby is decorated with large glass sculptures, and rooms are decorated in a modern, but comfortable style. Each floor in the hotel features glass art from a different artist, making a tour of the hotel a fun way to kill a little time without going far. Beds are comfortable, and cribs are available upon request.
The hotel is conveniently located near the "Convention Center" light rail stop, which makes a ride to the downtown area both free and fun. If you plan to stay in town for most of your visit (i.e. you are not headed to Point Defiance), you can probably park your car and use public transportation for the duration of your stay.
I received a complimentary stay at the Hotel Murano for review purposes. I received no other compensation beyond the room, and the hotel did not require that I express a particular point of view.
