A visit to the Royal Palace is something most kids can get into, especially Princess obsessed little girls. Considered one of the most beautiful palaces in Europe, the kids will enjoy the rich interiors and the opportunity to imagine what it would be like to live in a palace. We recommend the self guided audio tour as it will enable you to move at the pace that's right for your kids.

The excellent Armory museum is worth a visit if your kids are interested in this sort of thing.

The Jardines de Cabo Noval, on the right hand side of the palace (free) are enlivened with some very fun modern sculpture.

In front of the palace, there is an excellent playground with everything from baby swings to climbing structures in front of the palace. If there's a line, this is a great place for the kids to wait with one parent while the other tackles the line.
