This hip spa hotel (complete with nightclub in the lobby) might seem like an odd choice for a stay with kids, but there are a few things to recommend it: glass-walled showers make it easy for a parent traveling alone with kids to keep an eye on your child while getting ready, a continental breakfast is included with the room charge, and whole foods is only a few blocks away more

This nondescript corporate-feeling hotel is connected directly to the airport via climate controlled walkways. It's too far out of town to make a workable base for visiting Chicago (about 45 minutes by CTA train), but if you have an early morning flight to catch or a late night arrival, spending a night here could make your travel day significantly easier. more

This well located hotel is just a few blocks from Michigan Avenue's tony shopping, the Museum of Contemporary Art, and the lovely Seneca playground. At the time of our visit in Fall 2008, the hotel had just undergone a major renovation. Suites and standard rooms are very spacious, but may not be a good fit for very young children because there are no bathtubs and the room lighting relies on floorlamps instead of overhead lights. more

Hotel is budget friendly, has an indoor pool and the on site restaurant is a pizzeria that specializes in Chicago style deep dish pizza and offers a childrens menu. more

Great because it had a separate room for naps or early to bed little ones, kitchenette for washing bottles, storing leftovers. Shuttle service was helpful getting us to the train for free! 2 tv's if you don't want to watch cartoons with the kids! more
