The Clam Cannery is conveniently located in the heart of Port Townsend's historic center. The building (which really is an old Clam Cannery) was entirely gutted and reworked into four studio and 1-bedroom suites in 2009. Each features a custom full-sized kitchen (complete with pots, utensils and even spices), a washer and dryer and many custom touches. The building is built over the water, and each room has a beautiful view. The hotel is set up to use Netflix Streaming and Amazon Video on Demand for movies. Parents of babies and very young children should be aware that studio apartments have Murphy beds. All of the apartments have concrete floor, which can be a concern for parents of children still young enough to roll out of bed at night.
