Four Seasons Hotel Seattle

This elegant hotel, close to Pike Place Market and across from the Seattle Art Museum is one of Seattle's newest. Kids are pampered with a welcome package if you tell the hotel their names and ages in advance. The decor here is more modern than most hotels in the Four Seasons chain, but feels restful and "northwesty" instead of screaming "high fashion." more

Grand Hyatt Seattle

This well located hotel is catty-corner to the upscale Pacific Place mall and close to the Monorail. Rooms are warmly decorated and the kid-friendly Blue-C Sushi restaurant is just downstairs. Electronic blackout drapes cover the entire window meaning that even if you're up high in the tower the room stays completely dark until you are ready to wake up. My daughter particularly liked the large bathtubs. more

Located in the middle of downtown Seattle (just across from the very child friendly central library) has colorful interiors, loaner goldfish and free wireless access (great when you are stuck in the room while the little ones sleep). The hotel also has cribs available and minibars in the room that can be cleared out to store whatever you need for your little ones.

We love the Inn at the Market for its restful decor, large bathrooms & the fantastic location right on Pikes Market. The rooftop deck gives kids some open space to move around. It doesn’t hurt that the beds are also exceedingly comfortable. more

Maxwell Hotel Seattle

This locally owned hotel is located just across the street from Seattle Center, making it an easy place to stay if you plan to visit the Pacific Science center, Space Needle, and other Seattle Center attractions. From here, you can also take the monorail to downtown Seattle. Rooms have modern decor, and a mini-fridge. There's a coffee bar in the lobby where you can pick up a snack in the morning. More importantly, there's a small indoor pool, a rare find in Seattle, where the kids can tire themselves out before you put them to bed at night. more

Fairmont Olympic Hotel

They offered complimentary cookies and milk delivered by room service to our room every night. They gave our son a big gift upon check-in with a coloring book, foam cut-outs, a rubber ducky, etc. In addition, all the staff, and seemingly the guests too, really went out of their way to make him feel special. more

We recently stayed here with our 4 month old daughter. On arrival at the hotel whilst checking in our daughter was presented with a cuddly panda toy. When we got to the room there was a great crib already set up with a kiddy blanket and diaper bags ready for her. more

Redmond Inn

This nondescript roadside inn, near the heart of Redmond represents a good value for families whose activities will center around a family visit on the Eastside or a parent visiting Microsoft or AT&T during the day. Rooms are clean, if uninteresting, and there is a small pool. A continental breakfast is provided to hotel guests at the neighboring Pancake House, and Whole Foods Market is just two blocks away. Our kids loved the free popcorn available in the lobby. more

My daughter loves making waffles during the free continental breakfast. It is also one of the few hotels near downtown with a pool. (The pool area is very nice, but you enter in the parking garage, so be sure to bring shoes and something warm to wrap up in, especially during wintertime.) We love riding the free shuttle to Westlake Center Mall, where we hop on the Monorail to Seattle Center for the Children's Museum. more

Three Bears Lodge offers 4 great vacation cabin rentals at Mt. Rainier, all of which are very friendly for small children. Because we have young children ourselves we really try to provide family conveniences, such as cribs, highchairs, booster chairs, toys, children's videos/DVDs, plastic dinnerware, emergency supplies kit, etc. A self-catered breakfast is also included at each cabin. We provide a commercial grade Belgian waffle maker, waffle mix, syrup, Starbucks coffee, assorted teas, hot apple cider and hot cocoa for a special breakfast treat. more

My daughter loves to stay at the Watertown when we visit Seattle! You can borrow bikes, enjoy a yummy free breakfast in the morning, and you can "order" a cart with art supplies, games, or movies to your apartment like room and stay busy if it's too rainy to sight-see. There is a Trader Joe's within walking distance and the hotel is clean and lovely! more
