San Francisco Hotel Reviews

Four Seasons San Francisco

Address 757 Market Street, San Francisco, California, U.S.A. 94103 Map, Tel 415-633-3000 Call, Website

If money is no object, the Four Seasons San Francisco is our top choice for family travel. Rooms are the largest in the city, and as you would expect, every comfort has been thought of. For families with small children, childproofed rooms are available as are cribs and rollaway beds. Children under 18 share their parent's room at no additional charge. The hotel also provides thoughtful welcome packages for children. Let them know what you need (and the ages of your children) in advance and it will all be waiting upon your arrival. more

While this hotel is huge and corporate feeling, the prime location makes it a good bet for families. Comfortable twin beds can be rolled into your room by request, and a Starbucks in the lobby makes snacks and breakfast convenient. more

Hotel del Sol is conveniently located, kid-durable yet hip, filled with great SF to-do ideas and affordable. Small things like video rentals, the weekend BBQs and daily pool breakfast/afternoon cookies make the place seem fun - for all kinds of kids. Hotel Monaco

Address 501 Geary Street, San Francisco, CA 94102 Map, Tel (415) 292-0100 Call, Website

The Hotel Monaco's location, just 2.5 blocks from Union Square, makes it a good launching off spot for a family trip to San Francisco. The hotel is recently refurbished and comfortable with quirky and fun decor. Kids are welcomed with an activity pack that included (on our stay) crayons, coloring pages and a kids card game. A pet goldfish can also be sent up to your room, and at turndown we found kid-sized robes spread out on the beds. During our stay, Wii was set up in the hotel "living room" during the cocktail hour. more

The Orchard Hotel

Address 665 Bush Street, San Francisco, California 94108 Map, Tel 1-888-717-2881 Call, Website

This boutique hotel is well located, close to Union Square. Rooms are larger than average for San Francisco, and well appointed. Prices are very reasonable for this neighborhood, and include free DSL access. more

Westin St Francis

Address 335 Powell Street, San Francisco, California 94102 Map, Website

This historic hotel's lobby is more recently renovated than its rooms. Still, families who request one of the more recently updated rooms in the newer wing of the hotel (rooms in the old wing lack the charm you would expect) will be happy with the hotel's central location and great service. more

The hotel staff was amazingly friendly and warm. The complimentary kid's backpack was such a great treat. They made my daughter feel so welcome, which in turn made me feel good. The babysitter they recommended was wonderful (screened and everything for our peace of mind and the safety of our daughter) and my daughter had a great time. She was very clingy back then and we were worried that she would throw a fit, but she had fun with the babysitter. We loved staying here and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting San Francisco. 5 star in my book. See Below Description of hotel offering:
The Omni San Francisco Hotel offers kid-friendly accommodations. The Omni Sensational Kids program caters to our youngest guests. Upon check-in, children receive a backpack filled with fun items designed specifically for them. Kids also receive milk and cookies delivered to their guest room on the first night and can request to borrow a rolling backpack full of toys, books and games. more
