Family friendly restaurant in Vegas area- Sweet Tomatoes. Its a salad/soup buffet... but, they have extra stuff like mac-n-cheese, pizza, muffins, ice cream, there are so many choices that everyone can find something they like. THe staff is friendly, and its always loud (background noise) so you don't feel like a sore thumb sticking out when your 2 year old has a tantrum :)

In Phoenix, just opened up is the Sea Life Aquarium at Arizona Mills Mall. Perks are that it is indoors (air conditioned for the summer!) and that all of the exhibits are kid-friendly and at kid-friendly viewing levels. We got the year long membership so we can go in and out as many times as we want over the year, which doesn't make us feel bad that we spent money on a day ticket only to have our toddler have a meltdown in the middle :)

Once or twice a week (depending on the season) down here they have a drum band playing at the beach at Sunset and its beautiful to listen to them! Of course there are many restaurants right on the Gulf of Mexico also where you can eat the best fresh seafood around and watch the water and even catch a dolphin playing around if your lucky! Love it here!!!

In Wenatchee, WA there is a place called Ohme Gardens. It is $10 per person to get in, but it is totally worth it. Ohme Gardens is on a mountian/cliff (dont worry, there are guardrails so no one can fall) overlooking the beautiful Columbia River and Wenatchee Valley. The garden itself though is a wonder. There are beautiful ponds, flowers, trees and paths everywhere. Truly a beautiful spot to take your family to connect with one another and our Mother Nature.

One family friendly activity we enjoy is to do a 'Dora the Explorer Discovery Walk' -- I make a list of items for adults and kids to collect...when everyone returns from the walk we have a snack and discuss our items. A great way to encourage activity and imagination. One of my grand-daughters improvised and brought back a piece of styrofoam. She said it was because it was a pretend pretty rock (on the list I had written find a pretty rock for Grandma's collection).

In Richmond, VA, I highly recommend Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden. We go there frequently, as memberships are reasonable and they have a teacher membership for only $35. The garden changes every time we visit, with different plants in season and new displays in each area of the garden. Best of all, the Children's Garden is full of great activities for the kids: water play, a sandbox, a tree house, storytime, and lots of gardening activities. It makes for a wonderful day!

We have 6 children ages 3months-16 years old. Finding something for the whole family to do it challenging at times. Quite often we like to go to the discovery depot(a childrens museum). We like to go swimming. To "art in the park", first fridays(where all of the business's on seminary street have a street fair every first friday of the month. This includes free music and lots of yummy food.) Most of my family lives hours away, and it would be wonderful to be able to print off my pictures and send them to my family. Especially my grandma. She lives hours away and hasn't seen her newest great-grandson yet. Thank you!

Well, since you asked, can I make this comment a shameless plug for my employer? I work for Pensacola Little Theatre in Pensacola, Florida, and we have at least four plays/musicals a year that are family-friendly. Ticket prices are as low as $10 adults and $5 for children. The people in the shows and working backstage are all volunteers, and auditions are open to the public, no experience necessary. The people cast typically don't have any required expenses, unless they need to purchase character shoes or something like that. We also have classes and summer camps; prices vary.
