All these products have been carefully reviewed by me. I only recommend products that I would use myself and recommend to my friends. Editorial reviews are separate and distinct from advertising on DeliciousBaby.com, and we never accept "advertorial" or pay-for-positive reviews. I do earn a small commission if you purchase a product on Amazon after clicking through from my site, and those sales help pay for the time it takes me to conduct and write thorough reviews.

Baby Food Mill

I used this portable food mill when I traveled with all three of my kids. You just fill the hopper with table food and turn the handle to make fresh baby food.

BABYBJÖRN Spoon

After having tried virtually every spoon on the market, this is my favorite for kids age 3 and under. It's what all three of my kids have used. The handle is easy for little hands (or big hands) to grip. The bowl is a good size and shape, it scoops up plenty of food and doesn't spill easily.

Bumkins Bib

We like the to bring the Bumkins Bib when we travel because it is lightweight and compact. It is also sink-washable and dries quickly, meaning that one or two is enough for the trip and we don't need to make time to wash bibs in a washing machine.

Contigo Autoseal Kids Cup

After the sippy years are over, it's still nice to have a no spill cup for the car. This strawless cup fits the bill nicely. Kids push a button that opens the spout when they drink, and the spout automatically closes when they're done. It's easy enough for my three year old to manage, and we've never had a spill. At home this cup is perfect for bedside or in a lunch box.

Light My Fire 3-Pack Little Spork

This is a great spoon/fork/knife combo for picnic lunches, lunchboxes and travel snacks. It's lightweight, nests with other sporks its size, and takes virtually no room. It's also comfortable to use for everyone from small babies until about 6 years old. An adult size is also available.

Lock & Lock Food Containers

Lock & Lock food storage containers are great for travel because a) they come in small sizes b) they're totally spill-proof when they are sealed c) the make a handy plate or bowl and d) some even have removable dividers so that you can carry more than one kind of snack. We always bring along one or two and fill them with crackers or dried fruit. Once the snacks are gone, we can refill the containers with restaurant leftovers or other items.

Phil and Ted's MeToo Hook On Highchair

When we are staying in a hotel or an apartment that does not provide a high chair, we bring along our MeToo hook on chair. Things (and parents) stay neater if we can give little D a place of her own to sit for meals. The MeToo chair weighs under two pounds and folds up to one inch thick when not in use. It's also easy to install, just clip it on to a table and screw the clips in place. We use the MeToo at home too... so that D can sit with us at our kitchen island. Accommodates kids up to 40lb.

Plum Organics "Mish Mash"

I love these squeezable containers of baby food. Not only are they lighter and less breakable than glass, but they're less messy too. You can squeeze the food onto a spoon, or in a pinch, right into baby's mouth.

Best of all, my older kids think of these as "squeezable smoothies" which means that they can serve as a snack for any of my children.

Serrated Travel Knife

This serrated knife has its own sleeve making it a great choice for travel. I tested it in my kitchen with onions, carrots, apples and tomatoes to be sure it was up to any task I might throw at it, and because it has a serrated blade, it also works well to slice bread. I keep one knife in the bag I check for longer trips and one in the glovebox of my car to use when we are out and about.

Snack Trap

The Snack Trap is a big help if you want to be able to give your child snacks on-the-go. The soft rubber top makes it easy for them to reach in and grab a treat, but closes up after they remove their hand, preventing spills. There are also two handles, making it easy to hold (or easy to attach to the stroller to prevent it from falling)

Take and Toss Sippy Cups, Spoons, and Forks

We like to travel with Take and Toss Sippy cups and silverware when we travel. Why? The sippy cups nest, so I can bring enough for both children (and a couple spares) without taking up too much space in my carryon bag. Even better, they are inexpensive enough that I'm not too disappointed if I leave something behind on the plane. A word of warning, the sippy cups are not watertight and the top presses on (instead of screwing on) so you need to be careful when you carry a full sippy. These sippy cups are also BPA free.

Yogurt Melts

Unlike crackers or freeze dried fruit, yogurt melts dissolve completely in the mouth, which means there is less risk of baby choking or gagging when he or she is eating on the go.
