    I love GrrlScientist's photos of the glass mosaics on the walls of the NYC subway system. My favorites are her photos of the Museum of Natural History subway station at 81st and Central Park West, where the walls are covered with plant and animal species, as well as geological and astronomical images, rendered in mosaics on the tiles. I especially admire this red-striped nautilus whooshing down the stairs:
