Giveaway - Baby Sherpa Diaper Backpack

I'm excited to announce my latest giveaway, a Baby Sherpa Diaper Bag Backpack. I've used my own Baby Sherpa on our family trips for over three years now... ever since E's second plane trip (on the first trip I used my old carryon bag, a bag that just wasn't cut out for keeping baby gear organized).

This Giveaway is now closed. To learn about new giveaways as they become available, please  Subscribe to our feed

Baby Sherpa Diaper Backpack
Baby Sherpa Diaper Backpack

What I love about the Baby Sherpa is the specialized compartments that make it easy to keep baby gear organized. There's an insulted bottle (or sippy) holder that Velcros to the outside of the bag, a huge insulated compartment, perfect for storing formula or expressed breast milk, and an integrated diaper bag that makes it easy to reach diapers wipes and a pad without digging through all your other baby gear. Perhaps my favorite features, though, are the bungee cord and carabiners on the back. I always seem to find one last blanket, jacket, or toy just as we are exiting the plane, and I love being able to attach them on the outside of the bag instead of stopping to reshuffle everything.

How To Enter
I will be giving the Baby Sherpa Diaper Bag Backpack away to one lucky reader. The winner will choose their favorite color. Pick me :O I want to head to Ireland but am concerned about the long plane ride as well as never wanting to come home :)

We haven't yet found a place we were afraid to travel to with kids, but maybe that will change later this spring, when we have two instead of one. Right now, we're planning a backpacking trip to Lake Ozette for this summer, and I'm hoping we can make it to New Zealand. I've never been there, and it looks gorgeous.

I'm so excited about your giveaway. I am traveling solo to San Diego from Ohio with my then almost 3 year old. I no longer feel crazy about trying to travel solo with her thanks to all of your great advice. Who knew that traveling with a toddler would require way more stuff than traveling with a younger baby! We are thinking of going to Italy but question the amount of activities appropriate for a 3-4 year old. Maybe we can do it...thanks to your great advice.

  12. Ilse on February 16, 2009 at 9:42 a.m.

I lived in China before marriage and kids and dream of going back with them. We travel to Greece and Albania every year to visit family, so I'd love to have this bag to keep organized.

Me and my husband have been planning to go to Alaska for sometime now. But the cold and the bugs make it difficult to make it with kids (2 1/2 year old and 3 months old right now). Maybe someday we'll find the way around it.

So, our dream trip is to head over again this year, with baby delightfully content and happy the entire trip (there and back). Hey, you said dream trip. :)

I would love to travel to Africa for a long extended period of time. I have long dreamed to travel to South Africa and spend a great deal of time traveling into the interior.
I think traveling with kids is possible just a different type of traveling. We love to travel and I'm not going to stop traveling just because we have kids.
We currently have a 15 month old and we spend Christmas in Spain and Portugal with her taking her to Gibraltar for a day, Morocco for a day and then Paris, France for a day and then 1 week in both Portugal and Spain. We have also taken her to Puerto Vallara Mexico.

Traveling can be fun with kids because you see things in a different way.

I would love to travel to Croatia, a place my husband lived in for two years as a missionary for our church. I fear taking kids there though since I do not know the language and neither do they. Add to it that they have nude beaches and I am thinking I am not ready to take them there yet!

We've always wanted to go to Italy, but I think it is going to have to wait until the kids are older or until we can find a babysitter...we would love for us all to enjoy it together, but this is something we have to put on hold!

  117. Liz on February 18, 2009 at 10:05 a.m.

I am almost too afraid to travel anywhere with my kids. (Not afraid as in unsafe, but afraid as in "Oh my God, how frazzled will I be?") I'd love to go to Europe (various spots) and just keep thinking it might be best until the kids are older or my husband and I can go alone!

I like the navy blue bag, and I'd love to go to my best friend Amy's wedding on Long Island in September, but baby will only be 3 months old then, and I have to figure out how to travel with her! I hope she's as chill as her cousin Sydney, who sleeps on planes. Thanks for the giveaway!

I haven't found anywhere yet that I won't travel to with kids....don't usually have a lot of choice but this summer I am taking 3 kids under 6 (a baby included) to Australia and admit to being more than a little scared at the prospect. Anything that can make this trip a little less stressful will make this trip even more enjoyable.

Honestly, traveling w/ kids doesn't scare me, my big kids love to learn, we'd have a blast traveling just about anywhere together & I have a baby due in April, babies are easy to travel with, toddlers are more challenging LOL. It's money that keeps us from traveling, if money were no object I'd love to take my kids to Europe & tour all kinds of fun historic castles & such!

I am afraid to tackle just about any destination with kids. My kid throws so many fits and doesn't like to do so many things that it can really take the fun out of it. The hubs and I would love to go to Disney World but if we do, we will go alone. Daughter would freak about the rides so if we take her it will be years down the road when she has grown out of this *hopefully* stage.

Ah, I dream of traveling to so many places! Some are exotic, some are full of culture and history, and some are romantic! At the top of my fantasy dream destination but I would be afraid to tackle with our kids is Thailand! I have always been so intrigued by the Asian culture for so many reasons! The beauty of the land and all its unique architecture, the historical shrines and places of worship, the unique culinary practices, and truly spending time understanding the lifestyles and behavior of the people of Thailand. Our children are far too young to ever consider taking on this type of trip and even when they are old enough it would have to be a journey they too are passionate about taking. Thank you for letting me dream more about this today! And, thank you so much for the opportunity to enter. I have a 6 month old daughter I would love to have the Sherpa diaper bag backpack for. I like the Navy Blue one and would like to travel internationally, India, South Africa. We went to Singapore with our 8 year old granddaughter and she did fine actually great until we hit a tropical storm in the plane and she and I were both throwing up.

We would LOVE to go to Europe, but it would be such a hassle with a child! For now, (while he is younger than a teen) we want to go somewhere new every year-but anything out of state seems like such a hassle! This backpack looks amazing, I might just have to buy it!

  255. F. Topp on February 23, 2009 at 5:20 a.m.

There are actually 2 places I'd love to visit.
The first place is South Africa. Well actually, North Africa too. Morocco, Tunisia sound very intedresting to me. But I'd love to go down to S. Africa bec. I've heard so much about it. But it would be quite difficult going with kids.

The other place I've actually been to. But my parents moved there about 15 years ago - Crimea - Ukraine. I'd love to bring my husband & kids there. But it is so un.... I don't know the word. But if I had a hard time there, how about my fussy eaters? And how do you teach your kid that was just toilet-trained to just bend down and pretend you're sitting on a toilet when in reality there are just 2 footprints to stand on and a big deep hole that they better not fall into! Yes, my parents have a normal bathroom. But when you're out on the streets, and you gotta do what you gotta do.....
Anyways, I hope I win this diaper bag, because it would definitely come to great use. We do go travelling, just not all destinations have the honor of hosting us.

I've never entered one of these before, but your post struck me because I just found out my cousin is getting married in Spain this Labor Day weekend. I am expecting my first baby at the end of March and am trying to figure out if it is possible to travel with her to the wedding. Would love to have the Baby Sherpa Diaper Backpack on this trip!

My dream destination would be New Zealand as it is a country I love very much... But with a child on two long haul flights... Sounds scary. Each time I have been there have been a variety of ages of children on the flights and i always admire the parents but am not sure I coudld do it!

This is going to sound silly, but I really want to take my 4-year-old to Disneyland (or Disney World for that matter, but we're on the Left Coast so DL is much more convenient)but I've only done Disney as an adult and I'm overwhelmed at the idea of trying to figure out how to slow everything down to a preschooler's pace but still feel like we got our money's worth.

My husband and I went to DL regularly as DINKs, and we would get there as soon as the park opened for early admission and stay until they kicked us out, for five days in a row.

But I'm not sure I can handle my 4-year-old in the inevitable lines for everything. And I also cringe at the idea of her constantly begging for yet one more souvenir or snack. (I swear, the kid has a hollow leg and anything she sees other people eating is what she wants. At least for the first few bites. She's been known to walk up to strangers and ask for a taste if we're not careful! :)
