Photo Friday: Last Days of Summer

At the end of every summer, the kids and I spend a week exploring bits and pieces of the Seattle area that we haven't seen before in an effort to capture those last rays of sunshine and freedom. I suppose it's still trendy to call that a "Staycation," but I prefer to call it "Mom Camp"

What about you, do you have an end of summer ritual?

What is Photo Friday?

  • Post a travel photo on your site. It can be about any topic, as long as it is G-rated.
  • The focus of the post should be on your photo.
  • You don't need to be a professional photographer (I'm not), but do showcase your best work, and make it big enough to see well!
  • It's nice to include a few sentences about the photo, but it is not required.
  • Link back here so that your readers can see all the other great Photo Friday posts.

No traditions yet, although I'm starting to think we may just head to the beach. With a birthday in the family the last week of summer it seems only fitting to always be traveling :-)

Love the "Mom Camp"moniker! We've been momcamping this week too :) I wish we had hit the beach! (And how is summer already over??)

I can't believe that summer is nearly over! I have so much left to see on my "to do" list!

I'm so bummed summer is over. I really miss my kids when they go back to school. Our end-of-summer routine usually includes school shopping and a bonfire on the beach. (That's tomorrow night.) Good luck with back-to-school!

Great picture! We love exploring on the beach. I think next summer I need to make a list and force myself to do more of the activities near home. We let many days slip away just hanging out around the house. (Although I guess that's part of the beauty of summer break too.)

I can't believe that summer is already over either! We are still traveling - hanging in til the last minute as we'll be returning home late on Monday for a school start on Wednesday. :)

It's so sad that the Summer is over. Means waking up early and making sure the kids are ready for school.
