Everest has been obsessed with maps lately. He literally can't walk by one without stopping to take a look. We just had his walls painted light blue, and they're looking a bit bare, so it seemed only fitting to help him create a map mural as decoration. Here's a few pictures of the work in progress.

What is Photo Friday?

  • Post a travel photo on your site. It can be about any topic, as long as it is G-rated.
  • The focus of the post should be on your photo.
  • You don't need to be a professional photographer (I'm not), but do showcase your best work, and make it big enough to see well!
  • It's nice to include a few sentences about the photo, but it is not required.
  • Link back here so that your readers can see all the other great Photo Friday posts.

Elisa would love that. She has also been obsessed with maps lately. Great idea.

My friend did this on her living room wall and then put pins in all the places she and her husband and daughter had traveled (together and separate.) It is so cool! I just wish Dek's walls were smooth so we could do it in his room too.

My sons have a giant map of the world on their bedroom wall. We bought it in six sheets from a specialist map shop, then applied it like wallpaper. I love it. Your map looks fab, it's a great project.

We've decorated our son's room extensively with maps also. Maps, and a LOT of decoupage glue!
Speaking of maps, my post today is about two of the world's largest globes we've visited!

What a fun project - I bet E is enjoying this! My kids like maps of ski areas. Tommy has a huge poster of one from Mad River Glen right framed and hanging right over his bed.

What an amazing project! My daughter would love something like that but I'm not sure that I have a steady enough hand to create it.

Great idea! My daughter has a travel themed room too, but there's not enough wall space for a good sized map.

Fantastic! My oldest son is 4,5 and totally into maps. This is esp. because we live in italy and have family in germany, finland, UK and spain. He always wants to check where everybody is at the moment. :-)
