Photo Friday: Mile High Diaper Change
I'm not quite sure how I found a free hand to take this shot, but here's another first for the baby book - Eilan's first in-air diaper change. Yes, it was as awkward as it looks, but we both survived.
What is Photo Friday?
- Post a travel photo on your site. It can be about any topic, as long as it is G-rated.
- The focus of the post should be on your photo.
- You don't need to be a professional photographer (I'm not), but do showcase your best work, and make it big enough to see well!
- It's nice to include a few sentences about the photo, but it is not required.
- Link back here so that your readers can see all the other great Photo Friday posts.

I certainly don't miss the days of having to change diapers on airplanes!

I will admit I haven't changed a diaper in the air yet and we have been on a few flights with our kids during the infant stage. Granted, most of our flights have been short (four or five hours) and we try to do the diaper change right before boarding.
Most of the time we fly at night so it coincides with their bedtime and they have their overnight diapers on. Can't imagine how difficult it is in such a small space. And yet you managed to take a photo! :)

I was lucky with my first, he rarely needed diaper changes on flights if we were good about changing him before take-off and immediately on landing. My daughter, on the other hand...
I wish I had a photo of my first in-flight changes.

Great foresight on your part to take a photo! These are things we marvel at when they get older. Now that my kids are teenagers I can't believe the amount of gear we traveled with when they were little, and the things we did (like in-flight diaper changes, managing to aim the barf into the airsick bag, sedating them with Benedryl so they'd sleep, etc.) Good times!

Ah, diaper changes on airplanes - the best way to see how truly flexible and creative you can be!

Ah yes! The in-flight diaper change is such a challenge! Shortly after this age I had to learn how to do a diaper change without laying Ella down as she became frightened and hysterical when I tried to lay her down on that tiny table. It was before they made Slip-On diapers. I impressed myself with my diapering skills. ;)
