Photo Friday: Arc de Triomphe with Baby

I think E enjoyed visiting the Arc de Triomphe in Paris even more then we did. The historical significance of the monument was lost on him, but the birds and the traffic spinning by made him wish he could walk right off my lap.

Paris with kids sounds like so much fun, and E certainly looks like he's enjoying himself.

My parents took us to Paris when I was three and my sister was one. She learned to walk on that trip and there are some great shots of her climbing the stairs in the Louvre. Now that I have my own kids, I like that we travel at a slower pace. Always fun to see what captures their interest in new surroundings.

You can totally tell that he wants to run after the birds in this picture! That is a great picture of the two of you!

We took our 2-year-old to Paris and that was by far the best place he napped! We pretty much walked everywhere he just napped away in his stroller. I also remember the people at the museums were very nice -- they'd let us through a quicker line as soon as they saw we had a baby! Definitely gotta go back one day.

I love how you both look so enamored with the moment. And it's a great pic because you can just make out the Arc in the back.

We took our 7,5 and 3 year olds to Paris and it was by far one of our best family vacations. The Parisians were so kind and the open markets and parks made for many lovely meals. My kids still beg to go back. They reminisce about the crepes and the carnival in the Tuileries.

E has always been such an intense kid (still is) when he thinks something is interesting. It's hard to capture those moments though, so I'm always glad when I see this shot.

Birds and traffic were certainly part of the Paris experience!
E does look like he wants to get into the thick of the action :)
