Photo Friday: Vancouver's Granville Island
There are some amazing deals on Vancouver hotels right now, so we are likely to head north for a weekend getaway sometime in the next few weeks. I thought I'd share a picture from a recent trip to Vancouver's Granville Island. We love the farmer's market (complete with my favorite Bagels on the West Coast and a great donut shop), and the kids love the terrific water play area and this cute boat.

Cute captain! :)
Glad to hear everything worked out for you today...I was wondering when I stopped in to link my post here early this morning.

I just wanted to say that it's possible but not easy to link to photo Friday from an iPod but it's better than nothing.

Love the pic. And LOVE Granville Island a lot too. We actually live a hop-skip-jump away. Our kid's favourite thing to do is the Kid's Market there. They have loads of toy stores to browse and a decent indoor playground upstairs. Chasing the pigeons is another, unfortunate, activity he loves ... in the square on the water side of the farmers market.
Come one. Come all.

I love Granville Island. D'you know, in December, it could be Dublin: same cold, same wind, just bigger city.

Looks like a lot of fun. We enjoyed our visit to Vancouver a couple of years ago when we were over for a wedding and stayed in the Stanley Park area
